Kilbane’s Mother’s Day concert to aid Mayo hall development

Prepare to be swept away when James Kilbane and his guests will take their popular country, Irish, and gospel concert to the stage at the Ballycastle Community Hall on Sunday March 22 (Mother’s Day) at 8pm. This concert is in aid of the refurbishment work being undertaken at the Ballycastle Community Hall and is a great opportunity in changing economic times to support local development and have a great night of entertainment in Mayo. Proceeds raised will be used to help work in the community.

The Croagh Patrick 7 Day Challenge takes place from March 11 to March 17 in a bid to raise much needed funds for Mayo Autism and Irish Autism Action.

Claremorris, Friday night, and Irish singing and dancing was alive. All that could be heard from the glamourous confines of the McWilliam Park Hotel was chattering and excited conversation which definitely wasn’t spoken in the English language, but which sounded vaguely familiar. From outside you would be forgiven for thinking we’d been transported to the Connemara Gaeltacht. But inside it was a different story altogether. The room was awash with glamour befitting any danceroom in the nation, and it was the pride that each and every person in attendance had for our Irish culture, that was felt immediately upon arrival.

Eileen Irwin from Ballina will fly the flag for County Mayo at the All Ireland grand final of the 2009 Granny of the Year Competition in aid of Special Olympics Ireland.

James Kilbane for RTE Televised Sunday Service

Country Gospel artist James Kilbane and his music will feature on this week’s RTE Sunday Service live from Donnybrook in Dublin. Kilbane will be leading the music and singing for the Presbyterian service that will be conducted by the Very Rev Dr Kenneth Newell, OBE DD. The service will be broadcast from 11.15am until 12pm. From Achill, James Kilbane has continued to work and develop in Gospel music for all Christian communities here in Ireland and abroad as a result of his commitment to his work and music.

Today (October 2) the new 12,000sq ft extension at Horkan’s Lifestyle and Garden Centre in Turlough will be officially opened with a fashion show taking place to mark the occasion.

Horkan’s Lifestyle and Garden Centre — phase two official opening

Today, Friday October 2, sees the official opening of the expansion at Horkan’s Lifestyle and Garden Centre in Turlough. The centre has been extended by 12,000sq ft, 8,000sq ft of which has already been occupied by a new expansive gift area, plus units leased to Edinburgh Woollen Mills and the Bayleaf Restaurant. Since opening in April this year, these new additions to the Horkan’s offeringd have gone from strength to strength.

James Kilbane and guests for Mayo Cancer Support concert

James Kilbane and guests will take his country gospel, Irish, and Christmas concert to the Castlecourt Hotel, Westport on Sunday night January 3 at 8pm. This concert is being staged in association with Mayo Cancer Support at Rockrose House, Castlebar. As part of his winter run of concerts James Kilbane is back with his show at the Castlecourt Hotel, following several sell out shows across the country as well as television appearances on RTE and EWTN television networks at home and abroad.
